If you like my palettes, check out my blog~ it details my experiences as an artist, and I frequently post about my latest projects, whatever they may be. I also include helpful hints and tutorials, and the process of my Hubby's jewelry business becoming a reality for us.
I'm a jeweler. I like to call jewelry "wearable art." I've made jewelry items since I was a very young girl, but only recently started creating as an adult, with adult supplies. No more plastic beads for me! ;)
I'm a visual artist. I love to use watercolors, acrylics, pencils, and charcoal. Most of my paintings and drawings are of seascapes, but I have been known to draw just about anything that will sit still long enough.
I'm a yarn artist. I'm an expert knitter and intermediate crocheter. I have been knitting since the age of three, and taught myself to crochet as an adult. Wherever I go, I carry a ball of yarn and a "stick" or two. I love to make accessories like mittens and hats and fingerless gloves.
I'm a seamstress. My machine is currently broken so all sewing projects are on hold, but I learned to sew when I was five and "Santa" gave me my very own sewing machine. When I upgraded to the now-dead machine, I used it to make my Halloween costumes while I was in college. Never won any contests, but I got TONS of compliments!
I'm an embroiderer. My style is modern-- I won't even touch a project with teddy bears and balloons and hearts. I most recently made a gift for a friend-- a fancy fame done up in counted cross stitch that has an old-time feel to it, and the words "Beware of Zombies" in the middle.
I'm a paper artist. I create scrapbooks and gift tags and greeting cards. My biggest project to date has been to make a scrapbook for each and every trip I go on-- unfortunately, this will almost always be a work in progress, and has taken a back seat to other, more imminent work.
I sculpt and screen print, but not nearly as often as I'd like, and I'm terrible at photography.
My mother-in-law calls me the queen of all things artsy. Friends liken me to Martha Stewart, back when she used to actually MAKE all her things.
I'm outgoing and gregarious, and get along with just about everyone. I'm married to my best friend, but my life is far from perfect. I'm looking forward to creating inspiration palettes on here, and meeting new people. <3
