thanks! the pattern with the girl has 5 layers. It gets tricky reducing images to just 5 colors!

Thanks for the answer - you're the master of photo patterns! =D
PS: I thought I'd answer here incase others would want to know - hope you don't mind!

PSPS: Molly created a page at the forum : Idea Repository for "How'd You Do That?!" (Special Effects)
yes, I think the way I will approach it next time is to create background layers in illustrator that have compound shapes. That way none of the "light" pokes through in the pattern (I hope).
I agree jeremy. Sometimes I can't see the misalignments in Seamless. I try to look carefully after I upload but before I save but I still miss thing sometimes. Practice is helping some for sure.
thanks! Looking at this now, I think I could do a better job with it. There are too many "gaps" like in trapping within the screen printing process. I think I can improve upon those gaps that this process creates. It's a bit disheartening to work on a pattern like this and then when it gets uploaded here you can see little things that didn't show up before.

practice, practice, practice! :)
Wow!
You're getting real good at this!

It is challenging, especially because Seamless imports every shape at a different size. It's a very strange thing! Maybe they will iron out the kinks.

I also noticed this - I tried cutting the layers so they al fit the same square... in process now, so I don't know the result yet.
You get more layers, but the right size.. I hope
WOW this is crazy, nice work jeremy!!
Ah! Yes! I thought it was only me.

Cool. I am challenged by aligning my layers. Are you finding it challenging?
