Description

Pickle was by far the most popular lip balm flavour in the 1810's and 1820's. That was until the cucumber scandals of 1827 and 1828 gave cucumbers and cucumber products, such as pickles, a very bad name. Consumer reaction from the scandals was so fierce, and made it so unpopular, that even today you'd have a hard time finding any pickle flavoured lip balm on your grocer's shelves.
