Sweet! I hope you like the trackball, I really love it. It's a little old school, actually; I've used this model for more than a decade, worn them out one after another (about 1 a year, with heavy gaming). You may or may not need a helper program with your OS to drive it better. I hear that's less of a problem for PC. I'm a Mac person, so I use it with 'USB Overdrive' software, which installs in my system settings. I roll the ball with my forefinger and click with my thumb mostly, using two fingers if I need to aim. Waggling my finger on the ball side to side will zoom my cursor nearly the width of my 27" screen with ease without moving my hand. If you find your ball needs more rolling than that, you can fine tune it for your speed and comfort in the settings. Roll your ball in circles at first to get used to it. Enjoy!
Thanks, Edith. Those are some really great tips. I think a lot of my problems with Seamless are down to needing a new computer, or a comp with a better graphics spec. Although they are both pretty buggy, imho. I just looked to see whether that mouse is on Amazon UK, and quickly found it. It's now in my shopping basket. I'm looking forward to trying it out! Thanks again! ^-^
Yeah, the direction key thing is huge, especially when selecting multiple elements to duplicate or flip at the same time (select more with shift key depressed). Shift key also helps with constrained rotation, I design things with 90 degrees, 45 degrees etc. rotation. I use a big trackball, so that helps with moving very precisely with my fingers, not wrist. Very cheap mouse.

Other than that, my biggest tip would be moving things out of their grouping folder and deleting the folder. Be certain it is gone. Most of my worst glitching in Seamless involved grouping. So I don't, and voila! my problems largely melted away. Sure, it's a bit of a pain figuring out which bits are which outside a group, and learning to re-select them all, but you get used to it. I find that Seamless Lite actually crashes much less than Studio, and is a lot faster. Very rarely freezes. Some of that may be my newer computer, though. I just never bothered installing Studio on the latest one, until recently. I didn't really miss it!
