Stargate Atlantis. A science fiction TV series, 5 seasons, first aired from around 2002-2007.
John Shepard is one of the main characters.
The 2nd in the Stargate Franchise series .
It takes place partially on/in an amazing city made by advanced aliens, named the "ancients".
The production/creator team made the "ancients" a presence in the series in many ways-- and one of the ways they are kept in the viewers' minds is a visual palette thematically shown through the city and other places as well.
The colors you used would be at home with the Ancients' aesthetic paradigm, and contemplation would absolutely be encouraged by these particular aliens.
