I love it! The young protagonist could be dreaming of leaving his factory job to become a butler and occasionally burst into song, glee-style.

Just combine the two...start a pastry manufacturing facility in China, and make your sitcom about a pastry manufacturing facility in China. You can call it, Mah King Dou :) And according to Homer, the "Dou" sort of ties in with your current job.
