Poet. Artist. Designer. Teacher. And Music Freak.

A fourth generation Californian, SB Stokes has lived and worked in the San Francisco Bay Area all of his life.

He is currently completing a Master of Fine Arts in Poetry at San Francisco State University and is both a former poetry and a former art editor for Fourteen Hills: The SFSU Review. He is a co-founder, producer and designer for Oakland's Beast Crawl and volunteers for both Quiet Lightning and Literary Death Match events in the San Francisco Bay Area.

He has produced the blog MASS COMMUNICATIONS since 2004 and is currently hard at work on his first book of poems.

SB also has over twenty-five years of professional design and art direction experience, in addition to a lifetime of learning about, working with, and loving color relationships through his work as a fine art painter, photographer, illustrator, Photoshop master, and t-shirt designer.
