I am a Fine Arts Major that went rogue when I met my husband and he loves computers. He set me up with Photoshop and I have never been the same. I love oil painting, collage, rust and found objects. Nothing is out of bounds for me, I love following the train tracks at night looking for things that have been discarded or just old and useless. The more I find the more I create. When I was young we living in a neighborhood with alleys. Tight budget single mother that can't stand sticky or messy gave me a pad of paper & pens. Not enough. All facets of art to me are a conscience collection of the universe. Hear me out. Color is wavelengths of light. Physics helped us with that one. Music is mathematics the universal language which also applies to art through composition. Unknown balance is a wonderful creation. Somewhere hiding in our genetic code we have the need to create, to balance ourselves and possibly others. Hans Hoffman one of my favorite painters does that to perfection. Nature has given us the subject matter and we ourselves have taken that gift and evolved. Cubism, Surrealism, and Abstract art of the 20th century busted the canvas, brought motion, science, music all together to help further our need to discover the hidden secrets of our universe. The Physic community is looking for a "theory of everything." Their latest is a Membrane theory that we are in a membrane instead of strings, their are 11 membranes or 11 dimensions. Du champ's " Nude desending staircase" gives you those dimensions. I'm sure he wasn't thinking about physics at the time. Chaos theory came out in 1986 and again artists were given fractals, crystallization, the beauty of randomness. Pop culture thanks to Andy made everyone an artist. Hopefully reality shows won't win and take our secret vice to watch others and stop our evolution as we get to know the universe
