Constantly split between the opposing worlds of logic and chaos.

I love - I need - creative expression. Be it writing novels, poetry, short stories; be it coloring or drawing; be it photography; be it crocheting, singing, dancing... whatever it is, the creative energy in me acts as the center, the stabilizer, the zen.

Yet by day, I indulge in order, logic, sense. I analyze. I like math. I like to edit. I like to break down the hows, the whys, the step-by-steps that make even art seem logical.

I was an "artist" at a young age, but gave up after constantly accepting the belief from others that I wasn't good enough, skilled enough, talented enough. For twenty years, I argued with myself and thought I was disgusting for even trying to be artistic. I've come around since.

Lately I've been working on several different freehand styles. I'm loving to learn color, and how it plays together even when it appears dissimilar on the surface.
