and, I love a farewell to arms. I think that was the first thing I read by hemingway...it's been so long, though, I barely remember. I have this ridiculous love hate relationship with hemingway because he is so dry, yet so amazing. I'm never really captivated or enthralled when I'm reading one of his books or stories, but when I finish I just think, "holy shit. that was fantastic."
