I was born in Texas, but grew up in Arkansas until I graduated high school. I moved to Fort Worth TX in 2000 to attend Texas Christian University. After receiving 2 degrees (B.M. and M.M.) in classical guitar performance, I married Lolly Patrick, my TCU girlfriend. For many years I played in several bands and have written a lot of music. I started out playing classical piano, as well as playing flute and violin at school until I bought my first guitar at 15. My main reason for picking up guitar was because my Dad showed me a PBS special one night of Stevie Ray Vaughn and Double Trouble. I immediately got a guitar and taught myself how to play- I've been totally obsessed ever since. Through college I taught private guitar lessons and it was gratifying teaching music to a younger generation of kids. In 2007 I contacted notable producer Henry Hirsch in NY-whose credits range from Lenny Kravitz, Mick Jagger, Venessa Paradis, Madonna, to many others. After working at his Waterfront studio many times, I focused heavily on songwriting. In April 2010, Lolly and I moved from Fort Worth to Hudson NY to begin a new chapter in our lives. My debut album is called "Lila" and is dedicated to the memory of my Grandparents Roy and Lila Swicegood.
