I have always loved color for as long as I can remember. Playing with it from the beginning of my life and still loving it . I am stimulated by color and it effects my modes greatly. I did hair for years & specializing in color came easy and I enjoyed being paid to work with color. One day I painted my walls of my new hair salon after paying a professional $650,00 to do a watercolor looking pink & red wash. He sponged peach over a white wall like a kid. I was so blown away by his lack of imagination and color not work. I realized he could not have done the work displayed on his beautiful brochure. I thanked him called him Michael Angelo and handed him the check. He to my amazement was clueless to the fact he was so clueless & he happily took the check. I rushed out and I bought 6 colors of paint, some glaze, sponges and started to paint the walls myself. I was in heaven. I realized I had not felt that unexplainable peace and place I go when working with color. I ran out of paint and added hair color, colored hair products and any pink or red pigment I could find. It came out great! I had not felt this good since 8Th grade when I drew with my color pencils after school. It was freeing, peacful, healthy, natural and stimulatingly necessary.I realized doing hair was not fulfilling my love for color like I thought it did. . I have not found an outlet except for photography that has allowed me this expression & joy sinse painting my walls 10 years ago. I cannot believe this sight is so great. I never new other people loved color like me. It's great. Wow I am not alone. Thanks! Britt
Thanks for love and comment on my pattern, and warm welcome to Colourlovers. As I was told when I first joined the site, it's highly addictive, and I can confirm that now ;)
Happy colouring :)
