My name is Blue, but contrary to what you might think, it's not because Blue is my favorite color. Yes, blue is my favorite color. About four years ago i wrote a book based on a strong female lead who happen to be a bounty hunter. Not so strange, only it was in the mid 1800's. Back then a woman anything but a lady was considered low, but this woman didn't care. She set out to prove that she was just as good as everyone else, that she could live a man's life, that she was able to provide and take care of herself. Her independence, strength and her personality kept her going.

She had the belief that no one told her what she could or couldn't do. If someone had the guts to tell her that she couldn't get a bounty, or that she couldn't shoot straight, or couldn't ride as good as a man, she set out to prove them wrong. If someone told her no, she'd do it anyway. Some people might call her spiteful, and maybe she was, but I call her independent and determined. I call Blue.

She's a lot like me in some ways only so much better. I thrive to be like her, even if she is a character. I've been told no several times, been told I can't, been told don't and I've done things despite what people have said. My marketing consultant called me up one day about a special they had for getting media attention for my book. I asked if I could do it myself and he said No. I replied, "Watch me." I was on a radio station and the front page AND back page of my local newspaper. It might not have been nationally but I did it.

So my name is Blue. i'm independent, strong, temperamental and sometimes sweet. I don't get mad easily but when I do, watch out. I'm passionate, I believe you can do anything you put your mind to.
