Hi y'all! I'm Amanda, but call me Birdy!! I'm 31 (yikes!) single & childless. I was born to be a crazy Auntie to the love of my life, Miss Rhiannon, who is 6 going on 15. I'm head over heels for birds, white cats, zombies, ANYTHING related to design, whether it be fashion, home or graphic/web.

I am also a big art fanatic, some of my faves are van Gogh, Mondrian, Monet, Dali, da Vinci, Cézanne, Bernini (who reminds me of Johnny Depp), Renoir, any 19th Century Artists really, that era just fascinates me to no end. As far as 20th Century Artists go, some I love are Matisse, Picasso, Kandinsky, O’Keeffe, Magritte and Escher. Some of my favorite art styles are Abstract, Impressionist, Post-Impressionist, Surrealist, I absolutely adore Tessellation and Expressionist.

I also have a big place in my heart for Mississippi artists such as Walter Anderson, Lea Barton, Sandra Bloodworth, William Dunlap, Theora Hamblett, Jim Henson, Katrina Estes Hill, William Hollingsworth, Laurie Parker and Wyatt Waters.

I was born into an artistic family and I am very thankful for that. My father is a wonderful sketch artist as well as writer, his older brother is an awesome painter and his older sister is another awesome painter. His younger sister is a well-known Mississippi artist, Melissa B Goff. She is an artist who combines contemporary folk art with a strong sense of color and design for one-of-a-kind decorative art pieces.

I'd like to give credit to two amazing and influential teachers I had for developing my intense love for both art and color. The first is my junior high enhanced learning teach, Mr. John Donegan. He was so creative, quirky and quite easily one of the most amazing people I have ever had in my life. I was heartbroken when he decided to move back to his hometown in Georgia and resign from teaching at my school in Byram, Mississippi. The other is my wonderful high school art teach, Mr. Mike Box. He never stopped pushing me to give it all I had and to never stop expressing myself in many forms of art styles and medias. He has received awards like Mississippi Art Educator of the Year and the prestigious Governors Award of Excellence. He also served as president of the Mississippi Art Education Association. I am very proud to call both of these men my mentors in the world of art, color and creativity.
