haha, well I applied at Barnes & Noble, where I'd love to work. They just havn't called me back yet.
The heart at the top of their profile pictures means they have "sponsored" CL. You pay a fee of $20 a month and you get a few extra customizable things on your profile and widths are automatically viewable on patterns. It's sortof like the 'premium' you find on other sites, but unlike the rest you still get all the available things when you aren't a sponsor, there's just a few anesthetic perks you don't get.

I'm doing pretty well. Besides dumping my hours of boredom into CL and cranking out the palettes. xD But I suppose if something pretty comes out of it, it's ok, besides that it means I've been spending an unhealthy/obsessive amount of time on here =P
I wish I had/need a job. I'd get better reward from that then sitting and expectantly and hopefully waiting for comments on my palettes; it's like a drug xD jk.

when you go to patterns » create new (found in the tabs at the top of the pg)
there will be a dropdown menu on the pattern page and there are different varieties to choose from: pick the stripes section and then the list of thumbnails for the different striped patterns will show up. You can go through all the other pattern categories this way. You can either put the colors in there or instead when viewing a color palette click the button that says " + create a pattern with this palette" and it will automatically input the colors from that palette.

well, looks like you've figured out the pattern thing; just choose the stripe pattern you like best and you can choose the diagonal.
You use any colors you want to create the palettes; if you happen to hit a hex code (what makes the color what it is) that has yet to be used on the site then you get the chance to name it and it becomes 'yours'. You can use anyone's colors. Then, you can make your colors/palettes into patterns or use someone else's palette if it inspires you.
Then obviously, you can comment on other people's work, favorite, and rate. Also, if you find someone who's stuff you like you can add them as a lover to help yourself keep track.
