To make a shape....
Create your shape in the center of the square on the create a template area. The reason you stay in that square is that when you save it anything outside of the square will be "floating around" in your shape when you save it.
Start with something simple like a circle with a square and a triangle. (they can be touching or not...it doesn't matter) Once you have made the shape you want then click on the picture of the file folder beside the trash can.
The folder will show up in the section that shows all of the shapes.
Now the harder part...
Click on and hold down the mouse and drag the shape into the folder. Once you drag it in, it will show up under the folder but further to the right. Each shape after has to be clicked and dragged and dropped under the previous shape. Make sure all shapes are under folder and are in line with each other.
Now that they are in the folder click on the folder that they are in.....wait for a few seconds (longer for some computers) and all of your shapes in that folder will have the red line on the left. This means this is a group....But to save it you now have to click on the picture to the far right (the little Housey looking thing and the circle). Your shape should pop up in a separate window that asks you to name the shape and save it.

*Before you save it as a shape you can also make it bigger or smaller and copy it after you have highlighted it all in red by clicking on the folder....(stay in the square though!)....my advice would be to save the shape first because you just never know....

Never accidently hit the save button like you are going to save the template. It will save as a template and not a shape. I do this all of the time and lose my shape! Ack!

Also once you save the shape it will be in MY SHAPES. You can now change the shape and save it again looking a little different. Your old shape stays the same even though you changed the new one. Also if you want to change the colors you can as well.
