Well, I think those colors work pretty well. They fit the theme of what you are selling fairly well.
But, I must admit, I find that kind of layout/style pretty boring. I am sure as far as UI/UX goes people will be able to find what they want and have a good experience though and that is really what it is about I guess.
Perhaps areas of it could be spiced up. Like the "why buy reconditioned". Maybe if there were some photos of happy people with reconditioned tools talking about how much money they saved or something like that.

I found the site visually pleasing and easy to navigate. I suppose you could add some "jazz" as long as it doesn't distract from the information being conveyed.
IMO it's probably spot on for all of the important stuff, you will not likely see any ROI from making it look more beautiful.
What might improve ROI would be making the font size bigger overall, but aside from that I wish more sites were like this.

I would honestly like to know whose brilliant idea it was to try forcing a defunct program on people wishing to create patterns? I mean seriously, flash no longer exists, no support and Adobe demands people to uninstall due to damage that can be done to other programs and your PC. So why can I not make patterns without a flashplayer popup saying I can't because I don't have it installed?

From what I can gather the Sphinx server has been down for over a month and the forums are inundated with spam. I want all my old patterns back but I can't even view my profile. What is going on? Was the site abandoned?

Link removed by COLOURlover. Some great feedback is listed below, but John doesn't seem to want much feedback... only a little more traffic for his site.
I'm not a graphics designer. I'm a programmer. I can do .net and database work all day long, but colors... well, I have no talent for that. My question is... do the colors on the site work? What would you change? I really appreciate any insight :).
