Goodbye, It's Over

I understand! I also feel angry about the spam and that there is no admin. I didn't know the names of the people or the business policies involved, or the names of any of the corporations. Thanks for naming everyone. I left but came back, but might leave again. So far I'm enjoying my time on this site again anyway, but I certainly agree with you and your reasoning. I am drastically cutting back my time on CL. I am not closing my account so that CL's who want to color my templates will be able to do so. When Autodesk acquired Creative Market Labs (ColourLovers is a piece in the Creative Market Labs matrix) and folded it into Autodesk Consumer Group in March 2014 there began a disconnect with maintenance of our beloved site. Although the co-founder and CEO of Creative Markets (Darius "Bubs" Monsef) along with all the Creative Market Staff including co-founders Chris Williams (the CTO) and Aaron Epstein (VP product) joined Autodesk and relocated at the time of the acquisition, I don't believe this CL community was anywhere near the top of the priority list, if it made it at all

At least that is how it feels to me.
I think there are bigger opportunities for creating income than CL. And I do not begrudge the creators of CL their success.

Ironically, the number of registered users of this site made it very attractive when Creative Market was looking for investors. See my profile page for a more emotional statement.
