Description

so when i saw this challenge i was over the moon as those of you who know me, know how much i love insects! so i googled to get inspiration and i saw lots of jewelry made from the shells of Jewel beetles, as you can imagine i was mortified and disgusted at the thought that people might be killing these beautiful creatures for their shells but then i found out they actually shed them. : )
i was going to make an ornate background Praxi Style but then i decided to leave it plain but i will use the shape to make an ornate design later on, maybe transparent layers of silk ruffles, idk yet! hehehehe!

all shapes are drawn by me, but you know there are only 2 shapes present in this template, a star shape and an interpolated circle, a very simple template but i love the effect.

Oh thanks Jesse! This is such a sweet comment! I have been looking at everyones colourings and i now really want some jelly beans!!!! Hahahaha! Yes i will definately re-use the shape as you can do so much with it! Hey Jesse! Why don't you make templates? I always see you comment on how you would like to, i think you should! I will be happy to help you, you know i even think you could get a very similar effect like this on seamless lite as it only uses 2 shapes! I don't use lite myself but i have practiced on it, you can get very similar effects on it if you know how to! I would be happy to do a tutorial and post it on the template group, when i have time maybe with screenshots. ❤❤❤❤❤❤

Very, very pretty, Lucy. I looked up the insects myself, and you did a brilliant job with their shells. Honestly though? They look like that and..... Jelly beans. hehe.... I look forward to seeing what else you do, with this shape. I'd love to see both of what you suggested. Layers and ruffles. Can't wait! ♥ Xoxoxo

Hi Lucy... Glad you kept it ambiguous like a stone. I just love coloring stone/rock templates! So So Pretty!
