I just paused on your webpage to thank you for your comments on my Why heaven hesitates and I had a look at your creations. I, Orthographer immediately caught my eye because since I joined this site - as a words lover (linguist by academic background and poet for passion) I tried a number of combinations for this pattern because I was attracted to the letters in it, but never came up with anything remotely satisfactory. Thank you for solving my dilemma, I love yours!

Hahaha-- it did mean 'telephone' for the purposes of that color (spare your own fists, it happens to the best of us! :-P), but I should clarify by adding that that's not Judeo-Spanish-- those were just some simple model phrases for a hypothetical Euro-influenced auxiliary language.

What does "Telefon" mean? It's in the name of a band I like (Telefon Tel Aviv), and I've always assumed the latter two words to refer to the city, but I've never understood the first...

By the way, if it turns out to mean telephone, I'm going to strike myself viciously and repeatedly... ^_^
