Description
We had a home fire yesterday. Jim (I C Hue here on CL) and I are fine as are our two beautiful doggies. We smelled smoke. Jim investigated and we called 911, grabbed the dogs leashes and dashed out. Our local safety forces are awesome. They got here almost before we got out the door and got the fire put out with minimal property damage. We lost nothing of real importance as the fire was confined to our attached garage. We were very lucky. It could have been so much worse. I hope you never have a home fire, but if you do I hope you have what our firemen called a "lucky fire" like we did.

You never really know what is important to you until you are forced to flee your home. I learned a great deal, and I liked the person I am.

You were awesome Jim and have every right to some self congratulation. Talk about "calm under fire" you personified the phrase that night.
