Wow! You're right. Perhaps it's the placement of the deep blue - in the very back of the pattern, closest to the red background. Thank you again, Christian. :)

That was definitely a new concept for me, and I can't thank you enough for pointing it out... and explaining it. There are times when I still need a black background to cut sharper images with certain patterns... particularly the really busy ones. But with the abstract patterns, especially, I never use straight black. And now that I understand this amazing new concept, I want to color all kinds of abstract templates and see what I can manage with those magical colors in between! :D
