It's charming in a way that I could see being fitted to room furniture or even an artsier set of dinnerware, but it's more futuristic than retro just because of how ambiguous the colors make it-- I definitely would want to see it somewhere where it would be put to far more pretentious use, though, like a stage getup! :-P
