The majority of people I know had c-sections and everything went well. But my mom was another case, my older sister was born at 7 months so it was a emergency c-section. Then it was me and doctors don't recommend natural birth after c-sec and then my brother who was born at barely 8 months and it was another emergency one, my mom got preeclampsia.

You have seen me. Picture a baby coming out of me xD There can be a lot of complications for both baby and mom. One of my friends pushed for 12 hours but had to get a c-sec because the baby head didn't pass.
From what I've heard, those aren't much better!
My sister had 2 c-sections as well and she had pain for quite a while after both births. A girl I went to school with got a horrible staph infection in her c-section incision and was in the hospital for weeks.
Yay for fun things to possibly look forward to! I'll stick with giving birth the way God intended.

Yeah, I'm sorry too!
Gabs, you'll find out some day. :P

It differs with each person. I have a friend who didn't even know she was having contractions until her water broke. Reached the hospital and voila! Out comes baby. Some people are lucky....

Funny conversation to have on a public forum, by the way. Sorry, people!

I can't imagine feeling that kind of pain :s

Went au naturel with my firstborn Nuris. Almost passed out from the pain. Hardly had enough energy for the final push. Then with Faheem I tried the epidural and I thought it was mankind's greatest invention, heh heh. They only administered it during the waiting, but let me feel the pain towards the end so I'd know instinctively when to push.

Did you give birth naturally to your children or did you opt for drugs? I gave birth without drugs once, with Vincent, and all the other times, I gladly accepted the drugs. \o/
Vincent's birth was, by far, the easiest. I was up and about doing my thang the next day with very little pain.

*gulp* gosh that sounds awfully painful, if you look at it literally. I mean, giving birth to chunks of concrete and steel......
