bluesy in toyland

OK-you’ve got to remember I was a kid in simpler times. So when I thought about what I mostly played with, these made the list:
1.Rubber ball: I remember spending hours bouncing a ball off the garage playing counting games by myself.
2.Blue bike: Up and down the alleys and neighborhood streets from dawn till dark. Of course when I got my first new bike it was blue!
3.Roller skates: The kind that attached to your shoes and tightened with a skate key. The garage was our roller rink.
4.Deck of cards: There were lots of card games, I can’t remember the names or rules of most of them. One that I still play with my grandchildren is Pounce.
5.Dolls: My sisters and I played baby dolls, paper dolls and Barbie dolls. We loved to design clothes, especially for the Barbies. I remember that sock tops made perfect sheath dresses.
