SENSATIONAL ME

Smell — Bacon frying.

Touch — The wind blowing through my hair (as long as it’s not cold).

Hearing — Thunder. It quickens me.

Sight — View of the ocean when I first walk into the house we rent at the beach.

Taste — First cup of coffee in the morning.

Mmmmmmmmm you have a gorgeous view of the ocean from your living room! Incidentally, I think thunder might be my favorite sound, too... but I'm not a big fan of the smell of bacon frying. I guess it depends on the kind of bacon or how you're cooking it because I've never cared for it.

Oh cool, the beach house! I've been wondering how it looks like. I'd be looking forward to go there each year too :) Have you ever thought about buying the property over? Wouldn't it be grand if it could become your very own private retreat.... oh sigh.
I love thunderstorms too, especially when it's accompanied by a spectacular display of lightning.
This palette really does represent a lot of things from that beach house, the blue hues and widths that look like ripples of water.... Thanks for sharing

Oh, if only we could afford to buy it. Maybe the next time we have a spare $2–$3 million! The cool part about this house is that it comes with the vacant lot next to it. That makes the retreat all the more private. Plus, it's on a very narrow part of the peninsula, so there's no other houses behind this one. I love how you see the palette linking to the house photo. Not by plan...just serendipity. Thanks so much for making my day such a lovely one. ♥♥♥

I was an ice skater (pair skater actually) and I miss the cold rush against my face.
There is nothing like being thrown through the air!

Dawn, you are one of those people who never ceases to amaze me. And I'm soooo jealous of your ice-skating ability. I can only imagine what a thrill it is to fly through the air like that. I love to watch ice skating but avoid going out on ice like the plague. I always slip and hurt something. ouch! sigh. Thanks so much for your comment. :-)))

YAY! Let's hear it for thunderstorms—especially those out over the ocean! As for the beach house, I'm more likely to lose myself than find myself! LOL Now that my mom is dead, this will be the first year in eight that hubby and I have the house all to ourselves. It will be strange without her, but so much more romantic.
Cocktails on the deck! Wish you could join us! Thanks so much for your comment!!

On special days at the beach, my husband cooks bacon and eggs. He fries the bacon first and then cooks the eggs in the bacon fat. OMG! It is soooo yummy. Of course it's totally unhealthy, too. That's why we rarely have the meal the rest of the year.

We use olive oil in Spain for eggs, it's more healthy; but if you add the bacon to the meal, it's more or less the same *love fat*

What an amazing view! I think I would have occupied the house FOREVER :)

breakfast at the beach after a storm is something I'd like too! The one thing I miss about living in Florida is watching the storms over the water.

Oh YES!! Storms over the ocean are spectacular sights. They beat any fireworks display anywhere. Thanks for the fun comment!! :-)
