Paraty ou Parati é um município brasileiro no Sul do estado do Rio de Janeiro, microrregião da Baía da Ilha Grande, mesorregião Sul Fluminense. Muito antiga para os padrões brasileiros, a cidade foi povoada entre 1533 e 1560, em 1667 teve sua emancipação política decretada pelo rei de Portugal, tornando-se uma vila independente de Angra dos Reis.
