I saw StarLogic VII as well. I would *love* to see how that comes out in production, especially if those colors make up most all of the site for which they're reserved, because it seems so hardline jewel-toned for a web palette. (I have no reservations about declaring my love for the bright and bombastic.)

I love reading that explanation, though - I should hope you're also a painter, because this particular palette would be wonderfully suited to an abstract piece, something soft-lined and not too dissimilar in form from the scene you've captured. (Wonderful photo, btw!)

Whatever internal engine inspires you, I quite enjoy it. I see many artists here dive on options that are not nearly so bold as the colors you pick and choose. It's wonderful.
Thanks for a specific comment. It's always helpful to hear why something catches the eye.

I was actually intending a cohesive palette with a viewpoint here- in a different one from the same photo (StarLogic VII) I was actually pulling a web palette and that's a different goal...

p.s. I took the photo. It's from Maui.
You've pulled some really smart color schemes out of that photo. I have an aversion to anything that's "too" red, but somehow this just comes off too alien not to love. That hint of orange glow just sets it all alight.
