I love reading that explanation, though - I should hope you're also a painter, because this particular palette would be wonderfully suited to an abstract piece, something soft-lined and not too dissimilar in form from the scene you've captured. (Wonderful photo, btw!)
Whatever internal engine inspires you, I quite enjoy it. I see many artists here dive on options that are not nearly so bold as the colors you pick and choose. It's wonderful.

I was actually intending a cohesive palette with a viewpoint here- in a different one from the same photo (StarLogic VII) I was actually pulling a web palette and that's a different goal...
