My family has over 100 years of ribbon candy. My mom's grandmother had a special crystal candy bowl that always and only had ribbon candy. My mom remembers it at my grandmother's house, and she inherited it because she ate so much of the candy on visits. When I was young I thought ribbon candy was just for colorful show, because it looked so pretty and tasted so bland. But now. thanks to the interweb, my mom gets the good kind shipped from the town where she grew up and must order 3 times as much! I might receive the bowl as an heirloom because now I eat so much of it. ah- traditions...lol

What a cool story:):) Thanks for sharing it!! It makes me think of my Grandma who also had a special, pretty candy dish for ribbon candy. I loved eating it when I was a kid too:):)! I'll have to look up ribbon candy, it's been years since I've had it!! Where does your Mom order it from??
