Man . . . you and plch are making me want to dig my old comic book collection out of wherever the heck it is (my grandparents garage, I think).
Anyway, nice capture - I can totally see the uniform right now (the colour scheme of which was fairly untypical for the day, n'est pas?). Although I think I liked him in the classic yellow

aha, the second version, more serious, less sparky... I loved the stories of this period... I guess there are more but I lost count

As for why my comic collection isn't always on hand, sadly, it's because I live in an apartment the size of a kleenex box. Which is probably a good thing. Less ephemera = more productivity. In theory.
