I agree, I am a big movie fan, I love the l movies, where there was great acting, great writing, great costumes and set direction and wonderment, less vulgarity, less gross violence, there are some good movies out there, but not enough.
Yes to all of those things! Hopefully it will change for the better one of these days. Hollywood needs some fresh talent. Talent that knows how to create an inspiring work of art, not just a blockbuster that will pay back the producer's investment ten-fold. Movies need more passion!

Brilliant take on this Volsak, although entertainment, escapism and laughter are all incredibly important to us humans as individuals, the medium of film has the potential to be (and has been) so much more, to be an agent for social awareness and change. Great palette:)

Thank you for reminding me, I need to watch 12 Angry Men, haha. I'm glad I could stir up some memories; that's one of the most powerful things a movie (or any form of entertainment, for that matter) can do: create a sense of nostalgia. I find that most movies today sadly lack that factor. No teenager today will fondly look back on the first time he saw Battleship... or at least I hope it hasn't come to that. Thank you for the lovely comment :)

Great idea, Volsak! Great palette, too! I sooo agree with you about the caliber of films today. I love old movies, too, especially the intelligent romantic comedies of Katherine Hepburn and Spencer Tracy. I love movies that open the mind the way 2001: A Space Odyssey did. I love films with social significance, like Twelve Angry Men, Inherit the Wind, and To Kill a Mockingbird (an all-time favorite!). I could go on and on, but.... Thanks for stirring my memories. :-)
