Ah, I had so many of the same associations. First (given the title and context) I saw the red colour as a draining out of life (the pale whites on either side) but then also as standing up with courage to the future (and the "hotter" the better! ;) ) Probably the English flag/St. George cross and crusading knights association plays into the latter picture.

I'm so glad that the creation has been therapeutic for you.
Oh Daisy, thank you. And I know...it's pretty raw. I haven't really looked at it much myself since I made it. But I think it really was therapeutic to have thought through it in a creative way, created it and then put it out there. I think when you deal with tough emotions through art and writing, you can at least, in some form and to some extent, start letting them go.

Now that I look at this palette again, more critically, I think I like it more. That's a pretty bright, "hot" color combination to use when trying to express feelings of loss and being broken. It's perhaps a bit unexpected (which I always enjoy in art), but still makes sense. It also reminds me of the English flag, which I've always liked : )
This is a very powerful artistic rendition, Jazmin. But I can barely stand to look at this, it makes me feel for you so. It is so tragic. My thoughts are with you.
