it´s not a silly question, it´s normal for beginers.
make palette from photo and Photocopa has some over the colour area (on the bottom the photo). You can move them and make area the colour what you want :)

Hey, I'm sure this will sound like a silly question...but how do you change the size of the section of colour when designing a palette?
