MY STORY
I think I was born a Colour Lover. When everyone else wanted to stick with neutrals, I liked the deep colours of black and navy with brights and lights.
I was a Deep Autumn Palette but over the years I have grown towards a Clear Spring because I am getting older and my skin and hair colour is changing. I was born in the Spring and as I have aged I suit the clearer colours of that pretty season, and still love the colours of the daffodils and the greens of new grass, beautiful pinks, poppy reds and hot turquoises. Yet, when the Autumn comes, the dying leaves bring a cheer to my heart, with their glorious oranges, reds and yellows.
Many years ago, I lived on the edge of the Lake District and on my way to work, I would drive through scenery exploding with the colours of autumn and on cold crisp days, observe the snap of a turquoise sky against the deep dark greens of the still lakes and mirrored in them the glories of autumnal colour.
I lived in the greys of the city, and enjoyed the colour of modernism in all its forms. Then, I began to create my own websites, and I found that I could add my own colourful personality to them. I rediscovered my inner most joys. Colour Lovers, has only intensified that array of colour invention that feeds my soul.
The years went by and nature came a calling. The blues and aquas of the beautiful Harris beaches in the Western Isles a place I thought I would never see, was the home for my toes in the exceptionally white sand. Then out of the blue, we found ourselves in the Orkney Isles where we are now and here I began my online shops selling interior designs, bedding, clothing and men's ties. The bright green grass and endless skies in flourishes of blues, pinks and greys. The sparkling seas and fresh air.
Yes, I was born a Colour Lover, and now as a Colour Analyst, Fabric Designer and Business Management Consultant, I want to teach the whole world to love it too. Why? Because it is a positive injection in a colourless world, a world full of greed and self, war and famine. Who would have thought global pestilence. Colour was created to inspire our lives, and yet we have squandered it.
Colour is paradise, and a promise kept. A time when my father (who called me 'clairyfairy')and I will enjoy an Eden-like garden again.
Revelation 21:3, 4 says:
3. With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. 4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes,+ and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”
