Basically, every week I throw out a topic for a template and we all see what happens. Template makers of all levels meet up to see each other's work, learn about craftsmanship, ask questions, give advice, try new techniques, get inspired and get motivated.

I think the fire feathers on your phoenix came out really well. It's an excellent blaze effect when you add colors!

I'm happy to announce the return of the Template Makers Weekly Challenge Group with a new challenge for March 20, 2015! At long last, The Template Makers Weekly Challenge Group is about to rise from the ashes. Are you ready?
The weekly template challenge theme is:
PHOENIX
The mythological phoenix is featured in art and design in a variety of cultures, including the Arabic anqa, the Hindu garuda and gandaberunda, the Russian firebird, the Persian Simorgh, the Turkish Zümrüdü Anka, the Tibetan Me byi karmo, the Chinese fenghuang, and the Japanese hō-ō.
Because a phoenix is born from its own ashes, a phoenix symbolizes rebirth, new beginnings, a change from bad luck to good fortune, renewal and ultimate triumph. What better topic for the return of our group?
