If you use the 'Create Pattern" button at the bottom right corner of the palette to make your pattern, then the palette will appear automatically in the pattern description.
Also, if you have made a pattern and want to add the palette to the description: you can copy the badge code from the "Grab this Badge code" box, then click "Options" tab which appears to the right of "ABOUT THIS PALETTE" on your own palette and choose "edit palette" the drop down menu. Then, you can paste that badge code in the description box.
