We don't have deer and foxes either, Ola! So disappointing. At least, not where I live. Urban areas. Not enough untouched nature.

Well, to be honest it was a shocking sight here... And it's not like bears roam the streets here (even if my old history teacher would do this bit with exchange students about always having to check behind corners for polar bears). It was a pretty unique occasion, but I guess quite a lot norther there's the rare occasion that it happens that a wilder animal is sighted near urban areas. This one bear was probably pretty lost too, I don't remember if it was late from its hibernation or woken up too early or what...

Haha. A dog without a leash is a shocking sight here. No bears. No wolves. So boring. x)

100kms north of Helsinki seems like the North Pole to me... I basically live in Copenhagen and when there are wolf sightings down here people lock their children in the closet and prepares for the apocalypse. Imagine what they'd do if a bear wandered into the city... D: And further north, where they're used to those kinds of things... Well they got guns and they ain't afraid to use them.

*promptly ignores all the hugging*

Anyway, yeah - we had a bear in my home town (about 60 000 people, 100kms north of Helsinki) a couple years back. Walked right by the centrum. Of course, we're south enough that it was a big deal, but I think in the north they'd be like "oh look, a bear" :P
Well, I'm jumping in very late... and that's what happens when I'm away and don't notice things, but when you post a bear hugs color with a note on it that says 'huuuuug me' you know, my friend, you can count on me, too. Huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuggggggggggssssssss! and all kinds of colourlove to you!
