User Review: Love this tablet

XP-PEN Deco Pro Medium Graphics Drawing Tablet: A Game Changer

One user who loves the XPPen Deco Pro Medium Graphics Drawing Tablet is an architect who had developed some intense wrist pain from using a mouse all day for their job. They found that this tablet was a great substitution for daily mouse use with their PC. The transition to using no traditional mouse at all took about a month, but they don’t miss it.They frequently need to do drawing markups, and it is much easier to do with the writing feature like this in Bluebeam. They also like that the scroll wheel center is a touchpad of sorts when in that mode. It is not terribly accurate, but it’s good enough that when they are working on paper copies but need to move the mouse to select something, they can keep writing with their left hand and use their right hand to mouse over with this touch function without picking up the stylus pen.Additionally, as an architect, they have to draft in AutoCAD and Revit, and this tablet seems to do a good job as a mouse replacement for that. They also like that the shortcut keys are easy to program and that the interface program is easy to understand. They like that they can program different shortcuts for different programs, making it easy to switch between programs without having to reprogram their shortcuts.

User Review: Fairly disappointed with this tablet

XP-PEN Deco Pro Medium Graphics Drawing Tablet: A Game Changer

One user who was fairly disappointed with the XPPen Deco Pro Medium Graphics Drawing Tablet is someone who was coming to this tablet from the Huion 1060 plus. They got very used to using the touch keys on it, and they expected to be able to have similar use of the touch keys on this tablet too.Unfortunately, the buttons on the Deco Pro are sort of stiff and sometimes just straight up don’t take inputs if you don’t press them hard enough. The dial is also very easy to accidentally turn, especially when trying to use the touch keys. The pen is good, kind of, but the 2 side buttons on it are so flush with the surface of the pen that they had to stop drawing and look at the pen in order to actually find and press them.Overall, this tablet was a bit disappointing to them after hearing so much hype about it. They were able to finish a couple of drawings before they felt they had to get a replacement. Some of their issues with it are not things that would bother others, so they encourage anyone in the market to watch many reviews and make an informed decision before purchasing.

Cons:

  • The buttons on the tablet are stiff and sometimes don’t respond to light touches.
  • The dial is easy to accidentally turn, which can be frustrating when using the touch keys.
  • The nibs tend to wear out quickly and can become uncomfortable while drawing.
