Eclectic Color Roundup: What’s the Color of Love?

What’s The Color of Love?

The idea is very simple and it started from a study of color perception that I began at university: to create a gigantic moisaic of color and meanings about love. What is the color of love? Why love has this color? Why did you choose this color? It’s your answer that will give significance to this website. Be part of it!

Grabba Beast

Grabba Beast™ lets you build your own Beast from a huge, ever-growing library of body types and parts — some scary, some cute, most are ridiculous — and arrange/color them as you see fit. Similar, in a way, to a really, really advanced digital Mr. Potato Head.  You can then unleash your Beast: send your friends an e-card, post a Tweet or Facebook status update, add to your blog or Facebook/MySpace profile, download desktop wallpapers and even buy it as an 11″ x 17″ fine art print.

Or, if you’re feeling lazy, you can randomize or evolve an existing Beast — swap colors, backgrounds, arms, whatever you want — and make it uniquely yours.  In the future, you’ll be able to make custom t-shirts, and the highest-rated Beasts will be made into Grabba Beast brand vinyl toys. So be sure to check back often! We will constantly add new parts, backgrounds, features and full Beast Packs, including those from special guest artists. And we’re just up the road in Portland! Innocent Drinks Big Knit

We first got our needles out back in 2003 when we knitted 20,000 hats to raise £10,000 money for Age Concern. Since then The Big Knit has grown every single year – and 2010 will be the year we smash the £1 million mark of total money raised over the campaign’s history as we aim to put 800,000 hats on our bottles.

Since we started the Big Knit, we’ve worked with Age Concern and Help the Aged (who have now merged to Age UK) to help keep thousands of older people across the UK warm and healthy during the chilly winter months.

Our hats are knitted by knitters up and down the country.  They send us their hats between August and October and we then count them all up before handpacking them onto our little bottles. They are then sent off to store, and will be available to buy in Boots and Sainsbury’s stores across the UK for 3 weeks from the 3rd November.

For every behatted bottle sold, 25p is donated to Age UK.
