Vintage Color & Design: Sci-fi Book Art

Inspiration from classic sci-fi novels... these classic tales of alter universes and predictions of future societies were always accompanied by some really great art and color palettes. Thanks to levar for putting together this great gallery of scans from his personal collection.

awesome!!!! :D
gosh, i'm obsessed by these... i have a pretty serious collection of philip k. dick inspired palettes. they are all based on his books covers.
much love for this post evad!!!
There seems to be a prevalence of orange and warm tones. Those colors do certainly grab the attention, but in these covers, they're so foreboding and hot, the colors of fire and laser beams. That Space Plague cover is fun. Great blog post!
