9 Colorful Wedding Websites

9 Colorful Wedding Websites

These days part of your wedding planning absolutely needs to include the construction of a wedding website. A wedding website is the key element that helps your guests know important wedding updates, where to go for the reception, and it's even a place that can help you keep track of your RSVPs.

I scoured the web to find you inspirational examples of colorful wedding websites for your enjoyment that do a great job of telling guests about the bride and groom as well as providing them with all the important info they need for the big day. Check out the sites I found below:

CMYK Themed Wedding

Matthew and Lauren's website was color themed! Woo hoo! The CMYK theme was totally cool, and their wedding website matched the theme perfectly. Their website includes a guest book, information about the wedding, the registry, and more. It's a fun and colorful site designed entirely by the bride and groom.

Pink & Teal Colorful Tented Wedding

This cool couple decided to throw a fun and brightly colored circus inspired wedding featuring a big tent and ticket stubs as part of the theme. Their wedding website features incredibly bold colors and is actually easy to use!

Zachary & Tiffany's Wedding

This wedding website features bold and contrasting colors, with creative typography and illustrations weaved in throughout the site.

Jess and Russ's Black and Gold Wedding Website

I'm head over heels in love with the design of this wedding site. Not only does it have cool typography, and interesting illustrations, it tells the couple's story in a unique parallax design. It's an incredibly sleek, elegant, and gorgeous website.

Tangerine and Sky Blue Wedding Website

Karl and Gina's wedding website is not only romantic, it's incredibly cute and sweet. I love the color combination of tangerine and sky blue along with the sweet illustrated characters.

Hipster Chic Wedding Website

Ross and Jess decided to go incredibly hipster for the design of their wedding website. The design incorporates frames, and very chic color choices that are slightly muted but elegant.

Red and Mint Colorful Wedding Website

Jenny and Grayden decided to tell their love story with incredibly unique and cool graphics and an awesome color combination that isn't only trendy but works well together.

Nanda and Juan Diego

This wedding website is jam packed with fun and bright colors. It's perfect for an outdoor summer wedding that will make everyone smile.

Chad and Katie Covered in Purple

Purple is one of my favorite colors, and this lovely couple incorporates purple elements beautifully into the design of their website.

Totally in love with these gorgeous and colorful wedding websites? If you're getting married soon, check out these website you can customize to your needs:

In addition to Kat finding amazing alternative and real weddings, in January 2012, she expanded her blog into a new section, The Green Room, where she talks about running her own business. It's really a fascinating section and Kat posts some amazing stuff on there.

One of my favorite parts of Kat's work is her Print Magazine. The print magazine comes out once a year and is a beautiful advertising-free print magazine featuring the best of Rock n Roll Bride from the past year.

Wedding Inspiration from Marry Me Metro

Wedding Inspiration from Marry Me Metro

If you've read any of my recent posts, you would know that I'm in the beginning stages of planning my wedding. It seems so overwhelming to try and figure out everything, and I haven't really known where to start. Every day someone asks me a different question: where are you having the wedding? what are you wearing? what food are you serving? It's starting to feel like there are a million and a half elements that have to come together to create this one massive event..and I don't even known where to start.

I recently discovered the wedding site Mary Me Metro, and had a chance to connect with the site's editor and founder Ashleigh. She is one of the nicest people I've ever had the chance to talk to and she really is the ultimate wedding aficionada. If we ever had the chance to meet in real life, I know that we would be instant best friends.

As you know I'm from San Francisco, I went to the University of San Francisco, and am a true-blue city girl. I love all that San Francisco has to offer, and I couldn't dream of leaving the fabulous culture and atmosphere that San Francisco has to offer. I was so pleased to discover Marry Me Metro because it is a wedding site geared toward the metropolitan Bride & Groom! If you're a city girl like me, or you just want to keep up with the latest trends in weddings Marry Me Metro is definitely a resource you need to check out.

Marry Me Metro offers a variety of tools to help you get inspired for your wedding, and plan your special day. The site has different sections, including:

I went searching through the Inspiration Boards after I first landed on the site, and I was completely blown away with the cool and creative ideas that Ashleigh depicted. I've selected a few of my favorites below to share with you, and help you get inspired.

Pastel Wedding: Pastel's are totally in style right now, and I really love how Ashleigh chose to showcase this awesome color trend.

I searched around and found some inspirational palettes that feature pastels for you to play with as well.

-The_Slide- Sand_Glass

Neon Wedding: Neon and bright colors are extremely popular and trendy right now. I see countless celebrities on the red carpet wearing bright colors that really make them stand out, so I love the idea of adding a touch of neon to a wedding.

To get you further inspired to add some neon to your wedding, I found some awesome neon palettes:

Pop_Is_Everything iam_wii

the_boom_boom_room gimme_*_c_a_n_d_y_!

I think my favorite section on the site has to be the vendors and venues section, because there is some incredible advice there! Ashleigh does an amazing job of finding venues and vendors and really getting to know them through an interview, and then providing you with the best of the best when it comes to weddings.

Wedding Hair Pieces: Ashleigh found some amazing hair pieces from the Blair Nadeau Millinery 2013 Grecian Romance Collection.

I think these hair pieces are absolutely stunning, and I'm so happy that Ashleigh found them and had the chance to share them with her community.

If you're really looking for some colorful inspiration, the Real Weddings section is the place to go. I hope that everyone in the COLOURlovers community will get inspired by these amazing weddings that Ashleigh found, and create some cool palettes and share them in the comments below! I selected a few of my favorite images from real weddings on Mary Me Metro, and I can't wait to see what palettes you come up with.

Raleigh Wedding: This couple is SO cool. These use amazing and bright colors throughout their wedding and I love this photo of the couple in front of graffiti.

New York Wedding at the Foundry: I absolutely love the color choices this couple chose. I can't believe how bright and brilliant these flowers look.

Seattle Wedding: I really just want to be friends with this couple, they look so cool, and I love that they chose to take such fun pictures after they got married. What do you think of the colors in the bouquet?

Austin Wedding: I am so in love with the color choices featured below, I really can't get enough of them! I want to see so many palettes featuring these colors in the comments.

I truly can't get enough of the awesome things I keep finding on Marry Me Metro and I definitely have to give a shout out to Hollie at Design23 for creating the creative Marry Me Metro logo and back-end tech customization. I hope that I can recruit her to sell some of her design assets because they really are fabulous.

I hope you enjoyed this little peak into the one of the hottest wedding blogs out there right now. Be sure to check out the Marry Me Metro website, and if you're looking for some more inspiration connect with Ashleigh and Marry Me Metro through Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest.

For those of you past the wedding phase and onto babies, don't fret as they have created a fabulous baby blog, Onto Baby, featuring inspiring nurseries, baby showers and all things fabulous for a growing family.

First up, why don't you tell the community a bit about who you are, what you do, how long you have been doing it, and your background.

WC: We met when Amy photographed Jocey's wedding, we became fast friends and the rest is history. Jocey's background is in graphic design and mine is in photography. Together, we are the Wedding Chicks. Launched in March of 2008, The Wedding Chicks is a daily blog focusing on weddings, wedding fashion, wedding decor and DIY projects.

What past experiences do you think have contributed the most to where you are now?

WC: We are both extremely ambitious and determined, I think that these traits were handed down from our parents. Jocey and I have a very similar work ethic and that makes for a really strong partnership.

What colors and color trends do you think we will see a lot of in wedding in 2012?

WC: We anticipate seeing more gowns in soft color palettes, such as blush pinks, yellows, and creams. We are looking forward to seeing brides with hair down embellished with a statement head piece. We think lip color is going to be huge as we adore a bride who braves a bold lipstick on her big day. We predict a more classic and refined look on the groom.

Source: Bride, Dress

What patterns and trends do you think will be big in 2012?

WC: We definitely think that the Chevron Stripe will continue to be big in design, as for weddings we think that patterns in bridesmaid dresses will gain some momentum.

Source: Molly Sims WeddingFree printable invitation suite by Wedding Chicks

Which colors, patterns & trends are you personally most excited about seeing?

WC: Personally, we go bananas over pastels and we are in love with color blocking.

What are your top three color palettes you love to see in a wedding?

WC: We are currently obsessing over palettes of:

Peach, pink and orange

Red, hot pink and yellow

Light pink, yellow and white

What colors do you not often see together a lot, but would like to see more of?

We would love to see more palettes of:

mint green and gray

we would absolutely like to see an all shades of blue wedding, hint hint

How important do you think patterns are to a wedding design? What are your favorites?

WC: Patterns are definitely wonderful especially if the colors are cohesive and blend in with the theme it adds that little something extra. Can't get enough floral, stripe and chevron. We particularly love a pattern in the bridesmaid dresses.

What's the best design-related advice you've ever received?

WC: Keep it simple.

When you are feeling stumped, where do you turn for inspiration?

WC: We head straight to Pinterest, as well as fashion and design magazines.

For someone that is just beginning to plan and design their wedding, what resources or advice would you give to them?

WC: Choose something that YOU like and stick with it. Work with a stylist to help you create the look and feel of your wedding. Don't worry about what others are doing, it's your wedding and it should be a reflection of you and your future Mr.

First up, why don't you tell the community a bit about who you are, what you do, how long you have been doing it, and your background.

Howdy, fellow COLOURlovers! I'm Cyd Converse, founder and creative director of The Sweetest Occasion, a lifestyle and design blog that has been delivering fresh ideas and inspiration for weddings, parties and living a life full of celebration since 2008. We're all about adding a little sparkle to everyday life. I'm also an event designer and stylist, having launched Sweet Occasions Studio in 2008.

What past experiences do you think have contributed the most to where you are now?

My formal training is an architecture so I have a classic design background. I have a lifelong passion for color, pattern, materiality and space planning which ultimately led me to the exciting and beautiful world of weddings. Plus, my grandmother was the ultimate entertainer and I inherited that passion from her. Even if it was just a group of us grandkids around the house for a weekend sleepover, she never served dinner without putting on her favorite earrings.
