Is there a way to view your entries? I have quite a few entries and there are a couple that I'm not sure if I've already submitted them. So basically is there a way to see ALL that one has entered so as not to be entering duplicates?

Hi. I have a question concerning the voting system. Yesterday I sent an email to lots of friends and family, asking them to vote for my entries. I made a board with all my entries, numbered them and provided the spefically link to each number, so that they could easily go and vote for the entries they liked. Many of them (around 6 or 7) answered telling me they had voted. At night I went to see the number of votes I had get and the numbers were the same, or pratically the same, as the day before. Today I received an email of a friend forwarding me the email she received from her her brother, telling that he observed that after voting the number of votes kept the same. That he went out of the page and came back ans tryed again and that nothing happened. So, I wasn't guessing wrongly: the votes are not counting correctly. Let me tell you something: the votes were given from different computers, different places, even different countries. What is happening? Is there a problem with the voting program? At the time of the socks contest I am afraid this happened as well. Does anyone know what is going on? It's fine for me not to win, but if I participate and ask people to take the trouble of voting for me I would like to have each vote counted.

I believe they have to be registered and logged in in order for the vote to count. Not absolutely certain, but I think that is how it works.

i believe that u have to participate in the program for u to be able to vote

Yeah, blimblimb, I have a similar issue... they absolutely do have to have a colourlovers account and be logged in for the vote to register. The counter appears to advance if you are not logged in, but you can refresh the page and see that in fact the number hasn't changed. I had to actually go to my friends and hold their hand through the voting process, because there's a lot of fiddly things that can go wrong. First, your friends can tell you they've voted, with the situation being they actually don't want to sign up for CL (not knowing what the site is about and having one more social account is onerous), so they just click the love button and it appears to advance, when in fact it actually has not. Second you can create a Pinterest board or other account where you can list your entries, and people may not be familiar enough with Pinterest to actually know how to click through to your entries, no matter how many times you explain it. My entries have lots of 'Likes" on Pinterest, in the middle layer, where they didn't get to Colourlovers. All those votes are lost to me. So, I feel for you, truly.
Oh, and third, if they did register for their CL account, your friends may not have clicked the verification link CL sends through their email.

korylanier

in the ares u have posted ur link can they click on ur link and vote from there. or register from there.

eighteyed

Kory, they have to register here, log in and confirm their email link before they can vote. After that, yes, they can visit a site where the entries are laid out, such as a pinterest board, and vote from there. Well, they can enter from there and get directly to a particular entry to vote, but that vote must be on the colorlovers site to count. For instance, you can post your entry on Facebook and people can like it on Facebook, but those votes won't count for you. They have to have an acount here on CL and be logged in first, then follow those links from Facebook, or whereever, to actually vote on your entry.

Also, Kory, American Women's entries are so stretched out because the coding staff here at Colourlovers made a mistake in the badge generator that makes the image appear that way. You actually have to edit their code to make the image look right, and I'm amazed, actually, that 6-7 days into the contest, they haven't fixed that yet, knowing how important badges are to us in generating visits and votes. Personally I take Dawn's unedited images as a silent protest against whoever's fault this fat badge is.

Not to mention HTML also gives me a migraine! :)
