Hello my fellow-lovers,

I would like to print out business cards from some of my palettes similar to those on moo at an affordable price and of course top notch quality.
Any suggestions? I'm located in Europe but have an address in the states to ship to.
Thanks a lot!

Just Perfect Color

Search online for postcard printers. Almost all also do business cards. I use VistaPrint a lot for projects and they have facilities in Europe. Turnaround has been good and customer service is excellent. Gallery clients seem happy with Overnight Prints but say customer service is non-existent. Others I know use 4by6.com. Be sure and get the specs from the printer you choose. VistaPrint trims US business cards just a tad smaller than the normal size.

With all these type of companies watch for hidden costs. The costs for cards may seem great but they tend to tack on rather extreme S&H charges that negate the savings if you don't watch out. The ones mentioned seem pretty good as far as I know.

I hate to see the local printers going away and still try to give them whatever business I can. I just cannot justify the cost for things like postcards and full color business cards, etc.

Grey Lord

Thanks a lot, I'll check them out!

Hey go through this website http://www.vistaprint.com.au/business-cards.aspx this is just amazing and awesome website and they offers affordable services.

darkcloud

Have used solopress and jamjar printing both a number of times for business card runs and folders and the quality and price is very good. Its worth spending a little extra and getting matt laminated cards as they look so much more professional.

PeriwinkleBlue

http://us.moo.com/design-templates/business-cards/

try this one. I have never used them, but a designer recommended this site to me. the templates seem more sophisticated than some other online publishers; also more paper options, etc.

cmika

Hey guys!

:( am disappointed that we can no longer use background code. I really liked showing casing patterns. Pages came alive. Now, blah

Hi Molly. I very much appreciate your response. :) Please let me clarify: I have not felt disrespect from you. I recognise the many hours you have devoted to our community over the years.

The two things that have troubled me since Autodesk bought COLOURlovers are these:

1) For the last few months, when many of us attempted to pay for our sponsorship in support of the COLOURlovers, payments were not being processed and the money was not returned when the sponsorship did not go through. At that time, there was literally no communication from CL administration when frustrated users sent emails asking for answers. I was lucky enough that I did not need to renew my sponsorship at that time, but I communicated directly with several members who were profoundly frustrated after paying and seeing that their money was not applied to help the site. Those members had to contact PayPal to get their money back. That troubled me greatly. I see now that those emails could easily have got lost in the thousands that came into the staff who were monitoring them at the time, though I know that some members tried to contact Darius directly by Facebook messages. I am curious; was anybody at CL admin monitoring the Lovers' Lounge at that time and did they see that we were very frustrated? I think at that time, a post to the blog by CL admin would have been enormously helpful for us. :)

2) Also, over the last few months, a post or two by CL admin telling us anything about what was going on in CL admin would have been helpful. Many of us have been dismayed by the lack of site and app maintenance; we were/are worried that CL might be discontinued. We dearly love this community, its creativity and the kindness; many of us would do our best to help keep it functioning if we were given a chance.

Thank you for the hours you put in, Molly. I am very grateful you are back.

There is no disrespect toward you. Consider how many members are on this site and how many issues there are... I apologize you feel you have not gotten personal attention to needing support, but I am only one human, it was stated that our team was smaller than before and is quite literally just ME.... I have someone else, to help with major issues only and that is still a struggle. :) Please understand we are doing our absolute best. Read my full group response for more info.

Given that Molly Bermea is back and posting frequently on the CL blog, I had hope that things would improve here. However, the utter lack of CL administration's responses to contact from us is sad - and I cannot help but feel it is disrespectful.

Hello friends. :) Oh boy. Another thing to challenge our lovely community. Yesterday, I noticed that I could not display my custom pattern badges. I emailed desvil and she will try to tweak her JavaScript wizard to help us easily display our custom-sized patterns again. Thanks to wordofmouse for suggesting a code workaround.

I started a Facebook page a few months ago called Colourfriends Corner when the sponsorship issue became a problem. I let the page sit. But perhaps we could start using it now in case things get worse here. At least it will be a way for many of us to stay in touch and to share artwork if we feel moved to do so. I will continue to look for a social media platform that can include everyone, because not everyone uses Facebook. I am happy to listen to suggestions. :) I chose Facebook first because I wanted to quickly set up a way to communicate with others - and because it is such an easy platform to chat with friends and post artwork.

Sending you love and hugs. Hang in there.
