Description
One of my two floral patterns based on the lavender kimono with the pastel floral obi (sash) in this 19th century Japanese silk scroll.
Inspired by the kimono fabrics in the antique woodblock print by Kubo Shunman (1757-1820). Titled "Autumn: Two Women Gazing at the Reflection of the Moon", this hanging scroll was colored with natural dyes and gold on silk.
