Description

Dr. Who fans, rejoice! It's the TARDIS, here on COLOURlovers! Yaaaaaay!!

For those of you who are not Dr. Who fans, the TARDIS is a spaceship that only looks like a small police call box. "TARDIS" stands for "Time and Relative Dimension in Space." The TARDIS travels in time, carrying Dr. Who and a woman companion to all sorts of interesting adventures. BBC in England has made many different Dr. Who series, and there are books with Dr. Who adventures. If you like science fiction and fantasy, check it out. :)

Who fans - I chose to leave out the dots between each of the letters of "TARDIS." I couldn't make the title readable with the dots, as we have limited character length in titles. Many Who sites choose to simplify the acronym in this manner as well. :)

Meow meow! I'll post a picture of the scarf soon, as soon as i can figure out a good way to wear it and someone to take the pic for me. Next week possibly.

My fave doctor of all time... oof.. Right now it's the eleventh (Matt Smith), but i love him, Ten (David Tennant), and The what was it.. 4th doctor? (Tom Baker).

It's great that your mom loves Who as well. It gives you something to debate about! My fave doctor was the ninth, Christopher Eccleston.

She's adamant about Tom Baker being "the best doctor and that every doctor after that just wasn't the doctor". I accidentally found a scarf that was an exact copy of Tom's scarf at a goodwill once! I bought it and it's hanging in my closet waiting for the proper Halloween to be used. : )

Meow, Pepper, my sweet! You will have to post a pic of that scarf somewhere (Flickr, Pinterest) so we can see it. What a lucky find! You could also wear it to a sci-fi convention that has Dr. Who on its itinerary. Hallowe'en would be good as well, as you suggested.

It's great that your mom loves Who as well. It gives you something to debate about! My fave doctor was the ninth, Christopher Eccleston.

I say TARDIS many many ways, simply with a capital t, or with all capitals, with the dots, with spaces.. I'm scattery that way.

You are right, gramatically speaking, the dots should be used, but more commonly these days, the dots are left off in favour of simplicity. Worf laughs... That one would be a royal pain to transmit using Morse code if you used all the dots!

You are right, gramatically speaking, the dots should be used, but more commonly these days, the dots are left off in favour of simplicity. I checked several Who sites and they are passing up on the dots as well. However, I made a note of it on the pattern page for the grammar nerds out there (I used to be one, but am getting a bit lazy. LOL).
