Interesting story about the raccoon. Sorry to hear. I had the most darling raccoon family try to sneak through my back yard a few years back. It was at night and I spied the leader and he sat on his hind legs with his paws hanging down, with a forlorn look. Like he was caught and he knew it. He so wanted to get out of it, but his eyes gave him away. He and I stared at each other for the longest time, while a few of the family scampered behind him in the other direction, the way they came. It was the cutest thing. But, the city has a raccoon problem and had to report. Nothing came of it. Rabies Prevention

Luckily my cats were inside.
