Cool Copper

I doubt I can top the love and admiration given to your palette by Thor.
So I'll just say quite simply, Raffinata eleganza! :D

This is one of those palettes that easily and instantly transports me to another place, it's strength of presence is remarkable given its subtlety and graceful sense of peace. This takes me to a desert world of unspoiled, desperate and desolate beauty.

The blazingly clear sky is unmarked by cloud but instead is dominated by a huge ringed moon that hovers ghost-like just above the darkening horizon, the light reflecting ever-changing rainbow hues upon the striated and twisted rings.

There is a coolness in the breeze that provides a relief from the shimmering heat of midday. It's now that we emerge, as the numerous stars constantly visible through the thin atmosphere during the day begin to multiply in earnest, great swaths of marbled sky glittering with jeweled intensity as the moon continues it's swift descent.

The wind provides a mournful song as it blows across the shallow valleys that run perpendicular to the low range of coppery hills just on the horizon which is really quite near. It's only now that I realize that the enormous moon is actually the parent planet and we are on a moon.

And then I'm back, but the memories of the journey and the place you have shown me is very real, impossibly distant from a physical perspective but eminently ours and enduring. Thank you so much for sharing it with me. ;D
