Nemed was the leader of the Tuatha Dé Danann when they first settled in Ireland.
In Irish mythology the Tuatha Dé Danann are a legendary race of kings and warriors who ruled Ireland until they were overthrown by the Milesians. They were forced to live in the underworld where they became the fairy people of myth and folklore.
