Description
I've recently gotten some comments & general crap about not naming my colors in my palettes/patterns.
So. Let me break this down for you.
I make approximately 10+ new palettes a day.
I have made it a habit to typically only use "original" colors in these palettes.
I've registered 5,313 new colors in the short 2.5 months I've been here.
Naming each one would literally be the death of me.
More importantly, I don't believe that naming a color - or a palette/pattern for that matter - makes it any more or any less amazing. This is a COLOR site.
If my name was Rhonda instead of Dana, I'd still be the same person, with the same green eyes & the same sarcastic personality.
If I decided to title a color "blue" when the color is actually red, the color would still in fact be red.
What's in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet. - William Shakespeare
The same theory applies to colors.
The same theory applies to everything.
So, when you think I'm being lazy or lacking creativity for not naming colors & just using their HEX codes, please refrain from letting me know about it. You won't change my mind.
& that's that.
