Inspiration

My dad would tell the story of Bula, an eccentric older women who lived between a corn field and main road in Carmi. Way before there were "indie" bands, Bula recorded & released her own vinyl single. "It Hurts to be Hurt": seminal classic. Country stylings singing words that couldn't be truer. She even erected a sign proclaiming Bula Records presence in flourescent yellow light.

Description

I've noticed that house ever since I can remember. It's a roadside landmark: dilapidated house. I would have thought that it was abandoned but for the fact that it has been painted pink since the last time I drove by.
